REMEMBER to always pull out the plug before starting the replacement. It is NOT sufficient to turn off the switch.

It may be a good idea to take pictures before starting the repair, so you can see how the washing machine is assembled and how the drain pump is installed.

Brief about drain pumps

The pump is directly connected to the fiber screen at the bottom of the washing machine. Often the washing machine can be placed on its side and the pump changed from below.

There are usually 2-3 hoses on the pump housing, which are mounted with clamping bands. These may be disposable clamps and therefore it may be necessary to fit the new drain pump with new clamps. Be careful not to tighten the straps so much that the hoses are chafed.

Remember to check whether the hoses are worn.
