The dishwasher is not getting water

First check the water supply – is water coming out of the tap and is the water pressure is normal? Disconnect the inlet hose from the tap and allow the water to drain into a bucket. Also check if the sand filter is clogged and clean it if necessary. With a fixed aquastop, the sand filter is located by the tap, otherwise it is normally located where the hose is screwed on the dishwasher.

Next, find out if there is water in the dishwasher's hidden bottom. If so, the aqua stop or flow switch will probably be activated. Tip the dishwasher backwards so that the water can run out – have some towels lying ready to dry up the water. The dishwasher should now work again, but if there is a leak inside the dishwasher, it will only work until the hidden bottom of the dishwasher is filled with water again. To solve the error, you will have to find the defective spare part that is causing the leak – follow the trace of lime scale to the defective spare part and replace it.

Also check if there is water in the bottom of the dishwasher (when you open the dishwasher). A few inches of water at the filter is normal, but if it fills the very bottom of the dishwasher, then it indicates that the dishwasher is having trouble draining the water. If you have checked water pressure and for water in the bottom of the dishwasher (both the inside and the hidden bottom) and have not found the cause here, then it is likely that the solenoid valve is defective. You can find a new solenoid valve for your dishwasher here.
