Washing machine does not wash clean

If your washing machine does not rinse your laundry properly, the reasons may be one of the following:

• The reason may be that the washing machine is overloaded. Do not load more laundry into the drum than it has capacity for. If you have overloaded the washing machine, the detergent will not dissolve properly, and this can result in soap stains on the laundry as well as dirty laundry even after wash. A good rule of thumb is that you should be able to fit your clenched fist in the space above the laundry without squeezing the clothes together.
• The reason may be that you are either using too much or too little detergent. The dosage of detergent is important, as too little detergent will result in the washing machine not being able to wash cleanly - and too much detergent means that the washing machine cannot dissolve it all. This results in deposits on the drum. The coatings can both cause stains on the clothes and at the same time shorten the life of the washing machine.

• The reason may be that there is an error with the water level. If there is too little water in the washing machine, it will not wash the clothes optimally. The pressure switch may be defective and need replacing. Find a pressure switch here.
• The reason may be that the pressure switch hose is blocked – and as a result the pressure switch does not work. Remove the hose and rinse it.
