If the water continues to heat

If the washing machine boils you laundry, regardless of the program you choose, or if it keeps on boiling till there is no more water left in the drum, it may be due to one of the following:

• It may be due to a defective operating thermostat (adjustable temperature regulator). Purchase a new thermostat for the washing machine here. The operating thermostat informs the timer when the correct temperature has been reached. If this is defective it may cause an incorrect water temperature.
  
  Older machines
  Older machines are equipped with a thermostat with a capillary sensor (pressurized).
  This sensor is placed at the end of a thin metal pipe. This should not be shortened or have any sharp angles, as the effect will then be diminished.
  
  New machines
  New machines are equipped with an NTC-sensor. This is an electronic sensor, which via the print measures the ohmic resistance (this changes when the temperature changes).
• If you do not find the fault in a defective operating thermostat, the problem can also be caused by a defective timer or PCB/printed circuit board. Purchase a new timer for the washing machine here or purchase a new control unit for the washing machine here.
