Washing machine stops mid-cycle

  • Probable faultClog

The fault may be caused by a blocked up sift or hose. Start by cleaning the pump filter, and replace it, if it's defective. If there is water in the machine, even when you have taken out the pump filter, the bottom hose is blocked and this will result in the washing machine not finishing the program. Make sure that the water can exit through the outlet hose – one way to do this could be putting the hose on the floor. Remove the inlet hose by the washing machine, put the hose in a bucket and make sure that water comes out, and that there is pressure.

  • Probable faultHeating element

The fault may be caused by a defective heating element. If the washing machine stops at the beginning of the program just after it has taken in water, the heating element may be broken. Some washing machines can wash with cold water, if yours can. If the washing machine can complete the program in cold water, then it is most likely the heating element that is defective.

  • Possible faultThermostat

Faults on the thermostat will in some cases result in the washing machine stopping mid-cycle. In other cases, the washing machine will complete the cycle, but wash in cold water. Finally, we also see that errors on the thermostat result in the washing machine being able to carry out programs at low temperatures - e.g. 30 degrees (i.e. not a cold water programme), but stops completely at programs at warmer temperatures.

  • Professional machine cleaner for washing machines (500 ml)
Our professional machine wash for washing machines is a specially developed product that ensures effective cleaning of your washing machine. With regular use, this product can remove limescale, soap scum and accumulated dirt. The result is a clean and fresh machine that performs optimally and has a longer service life.

    Why use Professional Machine Cleaner?
Detergent ensures that your clothes are washed clean, but it does not ensure that the washing machine is kept clean. On the contrary, the detergent accumulates over time in your washing machine and can result in a smelly machine. It is therefore important that you occasionally use machine cleaners that clean the washing machine deeply and leave it clean and fragrant.

    Here's how to do it:
    1. Empty the washing machine of clothes.
    2. Pour 2 dl into the soap box. Run a program at 40°C without prewash.
    3. Repeat the process regularly, preferably once a month, to keep the machine in top shape.
